The Fire Department provides fire prevention, fire suppression, rescue and other emergency services. The department’s comprehensive fire prevention programs include code enforcement, arson investigation and public education. The Sulphur Fire Department (SFD) has approximately 11 Full-time fire fighters and 14 volunteers. The department prides it self serving Sulphur, Murray County, and surrounding communities as needed.
